Simulated vehicle operation modeling with real vehicle profiles

A system for simulating vehicle operation comprising:

• at least one processor;
• and
• memory including instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the at least one processor to:
• obtain a vehicle performance fingerprint corresponding to a vehicle, wherein the vehicle performance fingerprint includes vehicle characteristics corresponding to a real-world condition of the vehicle;
• provide the vehicle performance fingerprint to an autonomous driving vehicle model, wherein the autonomous driving vehicle model is a trained machine learning model configured to generate a driving policy based on the vehicle performance fingerprint;
• and
• cause execution of a simulated drive in a driving simulator, the driving simulator configured to simulate performance of the vehicle, wherein the simulated drive is customized to the generated driving policy and the real-world condition of the vehicle.

At least one non-transitory computer readable medium comprising instructions for simulating vehicle operation that, when executed by at least one processor, cause the at least one processor to:

• obtain a vehicle performance fingerprint corresponding to a vehicle, wherein the vehicle performance fingerprint includes vehicle characteristics corresponding to a real-world condition of the vehicle;
• provide, to an autonomous driving vehicle model, the vehicle performance fingerprint for the vehicle, wherein the autonomous driving vehicle model is a trained machine learning model configured to generate a driving policy based on the vehicle performance fingerprint;
• and
• cause execution of a simulated drive in a driving simulator, the driving simulator configured to simulate performance of the vehicle, wherein the simulated drive is customized to the generated driving policy and the real-world condition of the vehicle.

An apparatus, comprising:

• means for obtaining a vehicle performance fingerprint corresponding to a vehicle, wherein the vehicle performance fingerprint includes vehicle characteristics corresponding to a real-world condition of the vehicle;
• means for operating an autonomous driving vehicle model, wherein the autonomous driving vehicle model is a trained machine learning model configured to generate a driving policy from the vehicle performance fingerprint;
• and
• means for executing a simulated drive in a driving simulator, the driving simulator configured to simulate performance of the vehicle, wherein the simulated drive is customized to the generated driving policy and the real-world condition of the vehicle.
