A method of treating a condition characterized by an elevated level of an interleukin 17 (IL-17) cytokine in a subject in need thereof, comprising administering to the subject a pharmaceutical composition comprising a therapeutically effective amount of a bacteria strain that comprises a 16S rRNA gene sequence having at least 95% sequence identity to the polynucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NO:
