Abstract
An electrical component is configured to allow electrical cables to be mounted directly to a package substrate, such that electrical traces of the package substrate directly place the electrical cables in electrical communication with an integrated circuit that is mounted to the package substrate without passing through any separable interfaces of an electrical connector.
Claims20
An electrical connector comprising:
- a glass substrate having opposed first and second outer surfaces separated by a first direction;
- and
- a plurality of electrical traces that are supported by the glass substrate and extend along a direction that is perpendicular to the first direction.
The electrical connector as recited in claim 16, wherein the electrically insulative material comprises a resin.
