High resolution audio coding

An electronic device, comprising:

• one or more processors;
• and
• a memory coupled to the one or more processors for storing instructions, which when executed by the one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to:
• determine a pitch gain and a pitch lag of an input audio signal for at least a predetermined number of frames;
• determine that the pitch gain of the input audio signal has exceeded a predetermined threshold and that a change of the pitch lag of the input audio signal has been within a predetermined range for at least the predetermined number of frames;
• and
• in response to determining that the pitch gain of the input audio signal has exceeded the predetermined threshold and that the change of the pitch lag has been within the predetermined range for at least the predetermined number of frames, set a pitch gain for a current frame of the input audio signal, in order to improve package loss concealment (PLC).

A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing computer instructions for performing long-term prediction (LTP), which when executed by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to perform operations, the operations comprising:

• determining a pitch gain and a pitch lag of an input audio signal for at least a predetermined number of frames;
• determining that the pitch gain of the input audio signal has exceeded a predetermined threshold and that a change of the pitch lag of the input audio signal has been within a predetermined range for at least the predetermined number of frames;
• and
• in response to determining that the pitch gain of the input audio signal has exceeded the predetermined threshold and that the change of the pitch lag has been within the predetermined range for at least the predetermined number of frames, setting a pitch gain for a current frame of the input audio signal, in order to improve package loss concealment (PLC).
