Mobile authentification method via peer mobiles

A computer-implemented method executed on a processing circuit, the method comprising:

• processing registration information comprising at least one identifier for each computing device of a plurality of computing devices having authority over a financial account, at least one computing device comprising an integrated circuit being configured to execute electronic transactions against the financial account;
• receiving a pending transaction against the financial account, the pending transaction being submitted by a first computing device;
• in response to the pending transaction, executing an authentication protocol to determine whether the first computing device is a member of the plurality of computing devices based upon the registration information;
• upon determining that the first computing device is the member of the plurality of computing devices, processing data identifying a second computing device within a same network;
• executing the authentication protocol to determine whether the second computing device is the member of the plurality of computing devices based upon the registration information;
• and
• upon determining that the second computing device is a member of the plurality of computing devices, instructing an external system to omit a requirement for executing the pending transaction.

At least one computer-readable storage medium comprising instructions that, when executed, cause a system to:

• process registration information comprising at least one identifier for each computing device of a plurality of computing devices having authority over a financial account, at least one computing device comprising an integrated circuit being configured to execute electronic transactions against the financial account;
• receive a pending transaction against the financial account, the pending transaction being submitted by a first computing device;
• in response to the pending transaction, execute an authentication protocol to determine whether the first computing device is a member of the plurality of computing devices based upon the registration information;
• upon determining that the first computing device is the member of the plurality of computing devices, process data identifying a second computing device within a configurable distance from the first computing device;
• execute the authentication protocol to determine whether the second computing device is the member of the plurality of computing devices based upon the registration information;
• and
• upon determine that the second computing device is a member of the plurality of computing devices, omit a requirement for a credential item or a non-credential data item when authorizing the pending transaction.
