A navigation method comprising:

• a map-information acquiring step for acquiring map information;
• a present-location-information acquiring step for acquiring present location information indicating a position of a present location;
• an insurance-information acquiring step for acquiring insurance information of an insurance policy taken out by a user;
• and
• a section-not-covered-by-insurance-information acquiring step for acquiring, based on the map information acquired in the map-information acquiring step, the present location information acquired in the present-location-information acquiring step, and the insurance information acquired in the insurance-information acquiring step, section-not-covered-by-insurance information indicating a section not covered by insurance.

A non-transitory computer readable recording medium storing therein a navigation program for causing a computer to execute:

• a map-information acquiring step for acquiring map information;
• a present-location-information acquiring step for acquiring present location information indicating a position of a present location;
• an insurance-information acquiring step for acquiring insurance information of an insurance policy taken out by a user;
• and
• a section-not-covered-by-insurance-information acquiring step for acquiring, based on the map information acquired in the map-information acquiring step, the present location information acquired in the present-location-information acquiring step, and the insurance information acquired in the insurance-information acquiring step, section-not-covered-by-insurance information indicating a section not covered by insurance.
