Abstract
Materials and methods for producing whiskey-like alcoholic beverages from individual components are provided herein.

A whiskey-like alcoholic beverage comprising:
- ethanol;
- water;
- and
- one or more additional volatile organic compounds (VOCs), wherein the one or more additional VOCs are present in the whiskey-like alcoholic beverage in a total amount of less than about 100 mg/L.
