Abstract
A suspended mounting anchor can include an anchor body configured to be disposed on a first surface of a B-pillar and a clamp member configured to be disposed on a second, opposing surface of the B-pillar. The anchor body can include one or more bosses extending from a surface of the anchor, each boss having an inner bore including a threaded portion. The clamp member can be coupled to the anchor body such that a wall of the B-pillar is disposed between the anchor body and the clamp member.
Claims20
A suspended mounting anchor, comprising:
- an anchor body configured to be disposed on a first surface of a B-pillar, the anchor body comprising one or more bosses extending from a surface of the anchor body, each boss comprising an inner bore including a threaded portion;
- and
- a clamp member configured to be disposed on a second, opposing surface of the B-pillar and coupled to the anchor body such that a wall of the B-pillar is disposed between the anchor body and the clamp member.
A mounting assembly, comprising:
- a mounting anchor comprising:
- an anchor body having a first end portion, a second end portion, a central opening, and one or more bosses extending from a surface of the anchor body, each boss comprising an inner bore including a threaded portion, and
- first and second clamp members, each clamp member comprising a body portion and a bendable guide member extending from the body portion;
- wherein the anchor body is configured to be disposed on a first surface of a B-pillar of a vehicle;
- and
- wherein each clamp member is configured to be disposed on a second, opposing surface of the B-pillar and coupled to the anchor body such that a wall of the B-pillar is disposed between the anchor body and the respective clamp member.

A mounting assembly, comprising:
- a mounting anchor comprising a substantially triangular body portion comprising a first aperture, an extension portion coupled to the body portion, and a flange extending from the extension portion and comprising a second opening;
- a clamp member comprising an elongated body having a first end portion including a triangular opening and a second end portion, the elongated body further comprising a first aperture disposed adjacent the first end portion and a second aperture disposed adjacent the second end portion;
- wherein the body portion is configured to be disposed on a first surface of a B-pillar of a vehicle;
- and
- wherein the clamp member is configured to be disposed on a second, opposing surface of the B-pillar and coupled to the body portion via fasteners extending through the first and second apertures of the mounting anchor and clamp member such that a wall of the B-pillar is disposed between the body portion and the clamp member.
