Abstract
A ventilator, comprising: a manual resuscitator; a motor; a compression plate that is mechanically coupled to the motor, wherein operation of the motor causes the compression plate to periodically compress the manual resuscitator against a resuscitator plate; and one or more operational parameter adjustment controls, wherein operation of the motor is adjusted in response to a value of a particular operational parameter being changed using the one or more operational parameter adjustment controls.
Claims20
A ventilator, comprising:
- a manual resuscitator;
- a motor;
- and
- a compression plate that is mechanically coupled to the motor, wherein operation of the motor causes the compression plate to periodically compress the manual resuscitator against a resuscitator plate.
A method of operating a ventilator, the method comprising:
- operating an electric motor, the electric motor mechanically coupled to a compression plate, wherein operation of the electric motor causes the compression plate to periodically compress a manual resuscitator against a resuscitator plate;
- and
- responsive to receiving a signal, adjusting the operation of the electric motor.
A computer program product for operating a ventilator, the computer program product disposed on a non-transitory computer readable medium, the computer program product includes computer program instructions that, when executed by a computer processor, cause the processor to perform the steps of:
- operating a motor, the motor mechanically coupled to a compression plate, wherein operation of the motor causes the compression plate to periodically compress a manual resuscitator against a resuscitator plate;
- and
- responsive to receiving a signal, adjusting the operation of the motor.
