Abstract
Disclosed herein are antibacterial combinations and compositions that are effective against Gram-negative bacteria. Also disclosed are uses of such combinations and compositions for inhibiting the growth and proliferation of Gram-negative bacteria and/or for killing Gram-negative bacteria and/or for treating a Gram-negative bacterial infection.

An antibacterial combination comprising a nitrofuran or a functional derivative or analogue thereof, and a bile salt or a functional derivative or analogue thereof.
The combination of claim 1 or claim 2, wherein the nitrofuran is selected from the group consisting of CM4, difurazone, furazolidone;
- nifurfoline, nifuroxazide, nifurquinazol, nifurtoinol, nifurzide, nitrofural (nitrofurazone), nitrofurantoin, ranbezolid and nifuratel, preferably wherein the nitrofuran is CM4, furazolidone or nitrofurantoin.
