A computer-implemented method for providing a trained determination algorithm for carrying out a correction process of x-ray image data with regard to noise effects, wherein the trained determination algorithm, when input data comprising a recorded x-ray image dataset, determines a noise effect dataset describing noise effects to be used for correction of the x-ray image data, wherein a statistical physics model parameterized by model parameters is applied for describing the noise effects, wherein the model parameters are determined at least in part by using the trained determination algorithm, the method comprising:
- receiving one or more training datasets that each comprise x-ray image sub datasets with assigned known noise effect sub datasets, with at least one assigned, error-free reference image dataset, or with assigned known noise effect sub dataset and at least one assigned, error-free reference image dataset;
- training of a determination algorithm using the training datasets;
- and
- providing the trained determination algorithm.
