Abstract
Systems and methods for a smoking device for smoking a substance, the smoking device including: a hollow body, configured to hold the substance, wherein the hollow body includes: a tube defining a combustion bore within having vents, each of the vents being covered by a flap of a plurality of flaps having an initial shape configured to cover that vent, wherein when a combustion front of substance recedes into the combustion bore, any flap of the flaps that is heated to a threshold temperature bends away uncovering the vent it covers, and, when cooled, that flap regains its initial shape so as to cover that vent.

A smoking device for smoking a substance, the smoking device comprising:
- a hollow body, configured to hold the substance, wherein the hollow body comprises:
- a tube defining a combustion bore having within it vents, each of the vents being covered by a flap of a plurality of flaps having an initial shape configured to cover that vent,
- wherein, when a combustion front of substance recedes into the combustion bore, any flap of the flaps that is heated to a threshold temperature bends away, thereby uncovering the that vent it covers, and, when cooled, that flap regains its initial shape so as to cover that vent.
