Abstract
A method of wireless communication by a wireless device calculates a first latency for a first wireless interface using a DNS (domain name service) protocol. The method also calculates a second latency for a second wireless interface using the DNS protocol. The method stores the first latency and the second latency in a database; and selects the first interface or the second interface based on the calculated first latency and second latency.
Claims28
A method of wireless communication, by a UE (user equipment), comprising:
- calculating a first latency for a first wireless interface using a DNS (domain name service) protocol;
- calculating a second latency for a second wireless interface using the DNS protocol;
- storing the first latency and the second latency in a database;
- and
- selecting the first wireless interface or the second wireless interface based on the calculated first latency and second latency.
A UE (user equipment) for wireless communication, comprising:
- a memory, and
- at least one processor operatively coupled to the memory, the memory and the at least one processor configured:
- to calculate a first latency for a first wireless interface using a DNS (domain name service) protocol;
- to calculate a second latency for a second wireless interface using the DNS protocol;
- to store the first latency and the second latency in a database;
- and
- to select the first wireless interface or the second wireless interface based on the calculated first latency and second latency.
A UE (user equipment) for wireless communication, comprising:
- means for calculating a first latency for a first wireless interface using a DNS (domain name service) protocol;
- means for calculating a second latency for a second wireless interface using the DNS protocol;
- means for storing the first latency and the second latency in a database;
- and
- means for selecting the first wireless interface or the second wireless interface based on the calculated first latency and second latency.
A non-transitory computer-readable medium having program code recorded thereon, the program code executed by one or more processors and comprising:
- program code to calculate a first latency for a first wireless interface using a DNS (domain name service) protocol;
- program code to calculate a second latency for a second wireless interface using the DNS protocol;
- program code to store the first latency and the second latency in a database;
- and
- program code to select the first wireless interface or the second wireless interface based on the calculated first latency and second latency.
