Abstract
A control device includes a circuit configured to derive a plurality of focus state values representing focus states for each region of a plurality of regions within an image captured by a camera device, and perform a focusing control of the camera device based on a value of the plurality of focus state values representing a closest focus state.

A control device comprising circuitry configured to:
- derive a plurality of focus state values representing focus states for each region of a plurality of regions within an image captured by a camera device;
- and
- perform a focusing control of the camera device based on a value of the plurality of focus state values representing a closest focus state.
A camera device, comprising:
- a control device having circuitry configured to:
- derive a plurality of focus state values representing focus states for each region of a plurality of regions within an image, and
- perform a focusing control of the camera device based on a value of the plurality of focus state values representing a closest focus state;
- a focusing lens configured to be controlled by the control device;
- and
- an image sensor configured to capture the image.
