Methods for managing health care information

A computing system utilizing blockchain technology for managing healthcare records, the computing system comprising:

• one or more processors;
• and
• one or more computing devices comprising instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, are configured to perform operations comprising:
• providing a computer network with the one or more computing devices that are interconnected through the computer network;
• submitting a proposal related to a healthcare record from a first computing device of the one or more computing devices to a plurality of endorsing peers for approval, each of the endorsing peers comprising at least one computing device;
• approving the proposal by the plurality of endorsing peers with the at least one computing device and replying to the proposal with a response comprising a peer approved transaction;
• creating a private peer-to-peer communication channel between the first computing device and a second computing device and transmitting data related to the healthcare record from the first computing device to the second computing device through the private peer-to-peer communication channel;
• and
• creating a block of transactions based on the data transmitted from the first computing device to the second computing device and adding the block of transactions to a ledger.
