Abstract

Implementations of a computer implemented method and system to transform geolocation exchange unit specification assets or derivative unit securities or unitization structure capacity units with two waypoints or a destination waypoint or a series sequence of waypoints into multi-modal objects which are tradable as commodities such as wheat, oil, corn, stocks, foreign exchange, fixed income or other forward or securitized markets. The geolocation exchange unit specification asset portfolio may sell these units to authorized participants, who can subsequently sell these units to or repurchase these units from investors via a stock market exchange, futures exchange or general exchange. Likewise, the geolocation exchange unit specification asset portfolio can redeem these units from the authorized participants. The geolocation exchange unit specification asset portfolio invests in geolocation exchange units, which may be subject to margin requirements.

Dependent claims

A computer implemented method of administering a tax-managed, geolocation exchange asset investment fund having a plurality of units available for sale to the public, comprising:

(a) identifying electronically an index representing a portfolio of geolocation exchange assets having a desired performance characteristic;
(b) configuring electronically the portfolio of geolocation exchange assets;
(c) determining electronically the number of shares outstanding of the geolocation exchange asset portfolio;
(d) determining electronically the value of investments in the geolocation exchange asset portfolio at least in part on the received pricing information associated with the geolocation exchange assets;
wherein prior to an expiration date or delivery date associated with current holdings of geolocation exchange assets, the portfolio rolls over the current holdings of geolocation exchange assets into new holdings of geolocation exchange assets;
(e) determining electronically, expenses for the geolocation exchange assets;
(f) calculating, electronically, a net asset value for the geolocation exchange asset portfolio based upon the determined number of geolocation exchange asset portfolio outstanding units, the determined value of the geolocation exchange asset portfolio, and the determined expenses;
(g) purchasing electronically the shares or units of the geolocation exchange assets;
(h) administering company match contributions to the portfolio or geolocation exchange assets.

A computer system of administering a tax-managed, geolocation exchange asset investment fund having a plurality of units available for sale to the public, comprising:

(i) a processor for executing geolocation exchange asset programmed logic;
(ii) a communication module for receiving pricing information associated with geolocation exchange assets;
(iii) a first memory in communication with the processor for storing the pricing information associated with geolocation exchange assets;
(iv) a second memory in communication with the processor, wherein the second memory includes geolocation exchange asset programmed logic executed by the processor for:
(a) determining a number of outstanding units of geolocation exchange assets in a portfolio;
(b) determining a value of investments of the geolocation exchange asset portfolio at least in part on the received pricing information associated with the geolocation exchange asset portfolio contracts, wherein the geolocation exchange asset portfolio includes current holdings of geolocation exchange asset portfolio, wherein prior to an expiration date or delivery date associated with the current holdings of geolocation exchange asset portfolio contracts, the geolocation exchange asset portfolio rolls over the current holdings of the geolocation exchange asset portfolio contracts into new holdings of geolocation exchange asset portfolio contracts;
(c) determining electronically, expenses for the geolocation exchange assets;
(d) calculating, electronically, a net asset value for the geolocation exchange asset portfolio based upon the determined number of geolocation exchange asset portfolio outstanding units, the determined value of the geolocation exchange asset portfolio, and the determined expenses;
(e) purchasing electronically the shares or units of the geolocation exchange assets;
(f) administering company match contributions to the portfolio or geolocation exchange assets.
