Abstract
A method of determining a wait time at a point of interest includes obtaining a current occupancy signal of a parking establishment associated with one or more points of interest, obtaining a historic occupancy signal of the parking establishment, determining, with one or more processors, a predicted wait time for the one or more points of interest associated with the parking establishment based on the current occupancy signal and the historic occupancy signal, and communicating the predicted wait time to a user with a user interface device.
Claims20
A method of determining a wait time at a point of interest, the method comprising:
- obtaining a current occupancy signal of a parking establishment associated with one or more points of interest;
- obtaining a historic occupancy signal of the parking establishment;
- determining, with one or more processors, a predicted wait time for the one or more points of interest associated with the parking establishment based on the current occupancy signal and the historic occupancy signal;
- and
- communicating the predicted wait time to a user with a user interface device.
A system for determining a wait time of a point of interest, the system comprising:
- one or more processors;
- network interface hardware communicatively coupled to the one or more processors;
- one or more memory modules communicatively coupled to the one or more processors that store logic that when executed by the one or more processors, cause the system to:
- obtain a current occupancy signal of a parking establishment associated with one or more points of interest with the network interface hardware;
- obtain a historic occupancy signal of the parking establishment with the network interface hardware;
- determine, with the one or more processors, a predicted wait time for the one or more points of interest associated with the parking establishment based on the current occupancy signal and the historic occupancy signal;
- and
- communicate the predicted wait time to a user with a user interface device with the network interface hardware.
A vehicle, comprising:
- one or more processors;
- one or more user interface devices communicatively coupled to the one or more processors;
- one or more vehicle sensors communicatively coupled to the one or more processors and configured to output a vehicle sensor signal;
- network interface hardware communicatively coupled to the one or more processors;
- and
- one or more memory modules communicatively coupled to the one or more processors that store logic that when executed by the one or more processors cause the vehicle to:
- communicate a point of interest request to a remote server;
- communicate the vehicle sensor signal to the remote server;
- receive a predicted wait time from the remote server with the network interface hardware, wherein the predicted wait time for a point of interest is based on the vehicle sensor signal, a current occupancy signal of a parking establishment associated with the point of interest, and a historic occupancy signal of the parking establishment associated with the point of interest;
- and
- communicate the predicted wait time to a user with the one or more user interface devices.
