A heat shield panel for a gas turbine engine, the heat shield panel comprising:
- a first surface;
- a second surface opposite the first surface;
- and
- a plurality of cooling apertures extending from the first surface to the second surface through the heat shield panel, wherein each of the plurality of cooling apertures are oriented at a non-normal angle relative to the second surface.
