Abstract
The present invention relates to the use of mannuronic diacid oligosaccharide composition in the treatment of inflammation.
Claims20
A method of treating a patient suffering from inflammation or pain produced from inflammation;
- comprising administering to the patient an effective amount of the mannuronic diacid oligosaccharide composition, wherein the mannuronic diacid oligosaccharide composition comprises a mannuronic diacid of Formula (III) or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof:
- wherein n is an integer selected from 1 to 9, m is selected from 0, 1 or 2, m′ is selected from 0 or 1, and
- wherein,
- the total weight of mannuronic diacids wherein n=1-5 accounts for no less than 60% of the total weight of the composition;
- the total weight of mannuronic diacids wherein n=1-2 accounts for less than 60% of the total weight of the composition.
