Abstract
Tools for cutting bone, specifically cutting a hemispherical cavity in bone. Preferably, tools including an adaptor device configured to provide independent control of the cutting orientation.
Claims20
An adaptor device for a bone cutting system, the adaptor device comprising:
- (a) an adaptor head configured to reversibly connect to a bone cutter and further configured to reversibly engage with a bone cutter driver;
- and
- (b) an adaptor housing configured to connect to the adaptor head and further configured to attach to a handle for the adaptor device and/or a robotic arm configured to connect to the adaptor device.
An adaptor device for an arthroplasty reaming system, the adaptor device comprising:
- (a) an adaptor head configured to reversibly connect to a reamer and further configured to reversibly engage with a reamer driver;
- and
- (b) an adaptor housing configured to connect to the adaptor head and further configured to attach to a handle for the adaptor device and/or a robotic arm configured to connect to the adaptor device.
