Abstract
A method for material forming, by means of a movable impact head and tool combination and a drive unit includes moving the drive unit to provide kinetic energy to the impact head and tool combination, for the impact head and tool combination to strike a work material, so as to form the work material. A return movement of the movable impact head and tool combination, away from the work material, after the strike of the work material by the impact head and tool combination, is dampened.

A method for material forming, by means of a movable impact head and tool combination and a drive unit, the method comprising moving the drive unit to provide kinetic energy to the impact head and tool combination, for the impact head and tool combination to strike a work material, so as to form the work material, wherein a return movement of the movable impact head and tool combination, away from the work material, after the strike of the work material by the impact head and tool combination, is dampened.
An apparatus for material forming, by means of a movable impact head and tool combination and a drive unit, the apparatus being arranged to move the drive unit to provide kinetic energy to the movable impact head and tool combination, for the movable impact head and tool combination to strike a work material, so as to form the work material, characterized in that the apparatus is arranged so as for a return movement of the movable impact head and tool combination, away from the work material, to be dampened, after the strike of the work material by the movable impact head and tool combination.
