Wearable Drive System for a Work Apparatus

A powered tool comprising:

• a work apparatus having a drive shaft;
• a carrying device with a wearable carrying frame;
• first and second shoulder straps extending forwardly of the carrying frame and configured to be worn over shoulders of a user;
• a hip strap extending forwardly of the carrying frame at a location beneath the shoulder straps and configured to be worn around the hip of the user;
• an energy store supported on the carrying frame and extending rearwardly of the carrying frame;
• at least one electric drive motor carried by the carrying frame and extending rearwardly of the carrying frame, the electric drive motor being located above the energy store;
• and
• a coupling device that mechanically couples the drive shaft of the work apparatus to the drive motor.
