Display device and mobile body

A mobile body, comprising:

• a display device comprising a first display panel comprising a plurality of first subpixels which are aligned in a grid-like layout in a first direction and a second direction substantially orthogonal to the first direction, a second display panel comprising a plurality of second subpixels which are aligned in a grid-like layout along the first direction and the second direction at a same pitch as that of the plurality of first subpixels, a controller configured to control the plurality of first subpixels and the plurality of second subpixels based on image data, and an optical system configured to project the first display panel as a virtual image,
• at least one of the first display panel and the second display panel that is arranged on a user side being a transmissive display panel,
• each of the plurality of first subpixels being superimposed on any of the plurality of second subpixels in a normal direction of the first display panel.
