Abstract
An automated pattern generation application obtains an image as an input, where the image is of a design element such as a unique building. The automated pattern generation application extracts essential design features from the image and determines how to represent those essential design features in a fashion object (e.g., a garment or wearable accessory).
Claims20
A method of creating a garment pattern comprising:
- receiving, by a computing system, an input image;
- the computing system extracting edges within the input image;
- the computing system identifying a garment feature based on the extracted edges;
- the computing system classifying the garment feature by a detail description;
- the computing system assigning garment-positioning metadata to regions of the garment feature;
- and
- the computing system combining the garment feature with a second garment feature from a plurality of garment features to form the garment pattern.
4 more elements
An apparatus for creating a garment pattern comprising:
- a non-transitory computer readable medium having stored thereon a plurality of instructions, wherein the instructions are executed with at least one processor so that the following steps are executed:
- receiving an input image;
- extracting edges within the input image;
- identifying a garment feature based on the extracted edges;
- classifying the garment feature by a detail description;
- assigning garment-positioning metadata to regions of the garment feature;
- and
- combining the garment feature with a second garment feature from a plurality of garment features to form the garment pattern.
