Abstract
Provided are methods of preparing a separator/anode assembly for use in an electric current producing cell, wherein the assembly comprises an anode current collector layer interposed between a first anode layer and a second anode layer and a porous separator layer on the side of the first anode layer opposite to the anode current collector layer, wherein the first anode layer is coated directly on the separator layer.
Claims16
A lithium battery comprising a separator/anode assembly, the separator/anode assembly comprising:
- an anode layer;
- and
- a porous separator layer on one side of said anode layer, said porous separator layer comprising a polymer and inorganic oxide particles;
- wherein said anode layer is coated directly on said porous separator layer.
A lithium battery comprising a separator/cathode assembly, the separator/cathode assembly comprising:
- a cathode layer;
- and
- a porous separator layer on one side of said cathode layer, said porous separator layer comprising a polymer and inorganic oxide particles;
- wherein said cathode layer is coated directly on said separator layer.
