Mobile wireless communications device having digital wallet with multi-mode user card and related methods

A method operable on a wireless communications device, the wireless communications device comprising wireless circuitry for communicating over a wireless network, a location determining device, memory, a display, and a processor in operative communication with the wireless circuitry, location determining device, memory, and display, the method comprising:

• storing a multi-mode user card in association with a digital wallet, the multi-mode user card comprising a trigger location;
• rendering the stored multi-mode user card on the display in a first user interface mode;
• detecting the current location of the wireless communications device;
• and
• automatically changing the display of the multi-mode user card from the first user interface mode to the second user interface mode when the detected current location corresponds to the trigger location, wherein the second user interface mode is a mapping interface mode for providing directions to a user of the wireless communications device.

A non-transitory computer readable medium storing code which, when executed by a processor of a wireless communications device that comprises wireless circuitry for communicating over a wireless network, a location determining device, memory, a display, and a processor in operative communication with the wireless circuitry, location determining device, memory, and display, causes the wireless communications device to:

• store a multi-mode user card in association with a digital wallet, the multi-mode user card comprising a trigger location;
• render the stored multi-mode user card on the display in a first user interface mode;
• detect the current location of the wireless communications device;
• and
• automatically change the display of the multi-mode user card from the first user interface mode to the second user interface mode when the detected current location corresponds to the trigger location, wherein the second user interface mode is a mapping interface mode for providing directions to a user of the wireless communications device.
