Input device, input method, and input system

An input method which is performed on a moving body, comprising:

• accepting input information containing character strings;
• accepting correction information containing one or more characters;
• editing character strings of the input information using the one or more characters of the correction information, to calculate degrees of similarity between character strings of the input information before and after editing;
• and
• correcting a character string of the input information based on the degrees of similarity calculated.

An input system comprising:

• an arithmetic processing device mounted on a moving body;
• and
• a server communicating with the arithmetic processing device via a network,
• the arithmetic processing device comprising:
• an input unit that accepts input information containing character strings and correction information containing one or more characters;
• and
• a first communication unit communicating with the server via the network,
• the server comprising:
• a second communication unit communicating with the arithmetic processing device via the network;
• a degree-of-similarity calculation unit that edits character strings of the input information using the one or more characters of the correction information, to calculate degrees of similarity between character strings of the input information;
• and
• a correction processing unit that corrects a character string of the input information based on the degrees of similarity calculated by the degree-of-similarity calculation unit.
