A method for the treatment of an infection in a subject in need thereof, the method comprising administering to the subject an antimicrobial composition comprising an oxidized cellulose (OC), optionally, oxidized regenerated cellulose (ORC) and an antibiotic being minocycline, wherein the minocycline is present at a concentration of from about 2.7 to about 21.6 μg per 1.0 g OC.
A method for the treatment of an infection in a subject in need thereof, the method comprising administering to the subject an antimicrobial composition comprising an oxidized cellulose (OC), optionally, oxidized regenerated cellulose (ORC), an antibiotic being minocycline, and at least one additional antibiotic, wherein the minocycline is present at a concentration of from about 0.5 to about 2.7 μg per 1.0 g OC.
