Abstract
A drug delivery vehicle comprising a vesicle conjugated to one or more targeting groups, wherein the targeting groups comprise an oligosaccharide which is Lewis A or Lewis B or a mimetic thereof, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or PEGylated form of the oligosaccharide: (I) wherein R represents the point of attachment to the vesicle.10
Claims20
A drug delivery vehicle comprising a vesicle conjugated to one or more targeting groups, wherein the targeting groups comprise an oligosaccharide which is Lewis A or Lewis B or a mimetic thereof, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or PEGylated form of the oligosaccharide:
- wherein R represents the point of attachment to the vesicle.
A drug delivery vehicle comprising a vesicle conjugated to one or more targeting groups, wherein the targeting groups comprise an oligosaccharide of formula (I), or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or PEGylated form of the oligosaccharide:
- wherein each Z is the same or different and is selected from OH, hydrogen, halogen, C1-6alkoxy, —NR′R″, —NR′COR″, —N(COR′)(COR″), —SR′, —COR′, —COOR′, —OC(O)R′, —OC(O)OR′, —OC(O)NR′R″, —OC(O)SR′, —OP(O)(OR′)(OR″), or C1-12 alkyl, C2-12 alkenyl or C2-12 alkynyl, which is optionally substituted with one or more substituents selected from halogen, NH2, N3, CN, COOH, COO(C1-4 alkyl), OH and C1-4 alkoxy;
- each X is the same or different and is selected from OH, hydrogen, halogen, C1-6alkoxy, —NR′R″, —NR′COR″, —N(COR′)(COR″), —SR′, —COR′, —COOR′, —OC(O)R′, —OC(O)OR′, —OC(O)NR′R″, —OC(O)SR′, —OP(O)(OR′)(OR″), or C1-12 alkyl, C2-12 alkenyl or C2-12 alkynyl, which is optionally substituted with one or more substituents selected from halogen, NH2, N3, CN, COOH, COO(C1-4 alkyl), OH and C1-4 alkoxy;
- each A is the same or different and is selected from CR′R″, O, S and NR′;
- n is 0, 1, 2, 3 or 4;
- Y is either a group Z as defined above or a saccharide unit of formula (II):
- wherein X, Z and A are as defined above;
- R represents the point of attachment to the vesicle;
- and
- R′ and R″ are identical or different and are selected from hydrogen and C1-12 alkyl groups which are optionally substituted with one or more substituents selected from halogen, NH2, N3, CN, COOH, COO(C1-4 alkyl), OH and C1-4 alkoxy.
A drug delivery vehicle according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the oligosaccharide is Lewis A or Lewis B or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, preferably Lewis A or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
A drug delivery vehicle according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the vesicle is an exosome or liposome, preferably a liposome.
A drug delivery vehicle according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the vesicle has a particle size of from 100 to 800 nm.
A drug delivery vehicle according to any one of the preceding claims wherein the vesicle contains a therapeutic agent.
A pharmaceutical composition comprising a drug delivery vehicle as claimed in any one of the preceding claims and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier or diluent.
Dependencies are inferred from the claim text.
