Abstract
The synthesis and application of compounds having unique and desired flavor and/or fragrance characteristics are provided herein. The compounds herein can be employed alone or incorporated as fragrance or flavor ingredients in fragrance or flavor compositions. The application is also directed to consumer products comprising such derivatives and/or fragrance or flavor compositions.

A fragrance or flavor compound represented by Formula Ia:
- wherein R1 is H, alkyl or C(O)R7;
- wherein R2 is H, alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, linear or branched aryl;
- wherein R3 is H, alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, linear or branched aryl;
- wherein R4 is H, alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, linear or branched aryl;
- wherein R5 is H or alkyl;
- wherein R6 is cyclohexyl, cyclohexenyl or bicyclo[2.2.1]hept-5-enyl;
- wherein R7 is H, alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, linear or branched aryl;
- and
- wherein the compound of Formula Ia is in a form of its racemates, its pure stereoisomers, enantiomers or diastereomers, or in a form of mixtures of stereoisomers, enantiomers or diastereomers, in any mixing ratio.

- wherein n is 1 or 2;
- wherein R1 is H or C(O)R7;
- wherein R2 is alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, linear or branched aryl;

- wherein R4 is H, alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, linear or branched aryl;

- wherein R5 is H or alkyl;
