Socket connector

A socket connector, configured for an insertion of a plug connector, comprising:

• a housing, having an insertion hole configured for the insertion of the plug connector;
• a circuit board, fixed in the insertion hole;
• an electronic component, disposed in the insertion hole;
• at least one contact element, located in the insertion hole, wherein the at least one contact element has a fixed end, a movable end and a contact point, the fixed end is electrically connected to the circuit board, the movable end is movable with respect to the circuit board, the contact point is located between the fixed end and the contact point, the contact element is configured to be movable by the plug connector so as to force the movable end of the at least one contact element to electrically connect to or disconnect from the electronic component;
• and
• an electrical insulation component, disposed in the insertion hole and movably located between the contact point of the at least one contact element and an opening of the housing connected to the insertion hole;
• wherein before the contact point of the at least one contact element of the socket connector is in electrical contact with at least one contact element of the plug connector, the electrical insulation component separates the at least one contact element of the plug connector from the at least one contact element of the socket connector,
• wherein the electronic component is a light-emitting component.
