Abstract
The present disclose provides a process. In an embodiment, the process includes reacting boric acid with potassium carbonate in an aqueous solution. The process includes forming a stable aqueous suspension comprising particles of potassium pentaborate. The present disclosure also provides the composition formed the process. In an embodiment, the composition includes a stable aqueous suspension of particles of potassium pentaborate, the suspension composed of at least 8% (w/w) boron and at least 5% (w/w) potassium oxide (K2O).

A process comprising:
- reacting boric acid with potassium carbonate in an aqueous solution;
- and
- forming a stable aqueous suspension comprising particles of potassium pentaborate.
A composition comprising:
- a stable aqueous suspension comprising particles of potassium pentaborate;
- the suspension comprising at least 8% (w/w) boron and at least 5% (w/w) potassium oxide (K2O).
