Abstract
A surgical instrument includes a surgical effector having a wrist configured to manipulate objects at a surgical site, one or more robotically operable input controllers configured to open and close the wrist of the surgical effector, and a manual actuator configured to open and close the wrist of the surgical effector.

- a surgical effector having a wrist configured to manipulate objects at a surgical site;
- one or more robotically operable input controllers configured to open and close the wrist of the surgical effector;

- a manual actuator configured to open and close the wrist of the surgical effector.
