Abstract
Disclosed is a method of providing a positional reference signal in a communication system comprising the step of: providing a positional reference signal which is configurable in both time and frequency domains. Also disclosed is a method of configuring a periodicity of a positioning reference signal transmission in a communication system comprising the step of configuring the starting timing and the duration of the positioning reference signal transmission, wherein the transmission is either consecutive or interleaved on cell or cell group basis, and the configuration is numerology dependent.

A method of providing a positional reference signal in a communication system comprising the step of:
- providing a positional reference signal which is configurable in both time and frequency domains.
A base station arranged to provide a positional reference signal in a communication system comprising:
- a transceiver;
- a memory;
- and
- at least one processor configured to provide a positional reference signal which is configurable in both time and frequency domains.
A method of configuring a periodicity of a positioning reference signal transmission in a communication system comprising the step of configuring the starting timing and the duration of the positioning reference signal transmission, wherein the transmission is either consecutive or interleaved on cell or cell group basis, and the configuration is numerology dependent.
