Abstract
There is provided a computer implemented method of reconstructing an image of a body cavity shape of a subject based on a plurality of location indications, indicating locations of at least one sensor disposed on an intrabody probe within the body cavity, the method comprising: receiving data indicative of the plurality of location indications, identifying based on the data at least a first group and a second group of location indications, and reconstructing the body cavity from the data, using a first reconstruction method for the first group of location indications, and a second reconstruction method for the second group of location indications.
Claims33
A computer implemented method of reconstructing an image of a body cavity shape of a subject, the method comprising:
- receiving data collected using at least one sensor disposed on an intrabody probe within the body cavity, the data comprising location indications indicative of a respective plurality of location of the at least one sensor in the body cavity;
- assigning the location indications to at least a first group of location indications and a second group of location indications, according to a relative suitability of the grouped location indications for reconstruction by a first reconstruction method or by a second reconstruction method, respectively;
- and
- reconstructing the body cavity from the data, using a first reconstruction method for the first group of location indications, and a second reconstruction method for the second group of location indications;
- wherein the first reconstruction method is configured to relatively suppress artefactual identification of holes in locations for which location indications are missing, compared to the second reconstruction method.
A system for reconstructing a body cavity shape of a subject based on a plurality of location indications indicating locations of at least one sensor disposed on an intrabody probe within the body cavity comprising:
- a non-transitory memory having stored thereon a code for execution by at least one hardware processor, the code comprising:
- code for receiving data indicative of the plurality of location indications;
- code for identifying based on the data at least a first group and a second group of location indications;
- and
- code for reconstructing the body cavity from the data, using a first reconstruction process for the first group of location indications, and a second reconstruction process for the second group of location indications.
A computer implemented method of reconstructing an image of a body cavity shape of a subject based on a point cloud, each point representing a location visited by an intra body probe, the point cloud having an inner region wherein the points are sparser than outside said inner region of the point cloud, the method comprising:
- identifying the inner region;
- adding points to the inner region of the cloud to emulate additional visits of the intrabody probe in said inner region;
- and
- reconstructing the image of the body cavity shape from the point cloud after the adding.
A system for reconstructing an image of a body cavity shape of a subject based on a point cloud, in which each point represents a location visited by an intra body probe, the point cloud having an inner region wherein the points are sparser than outside said inner region, the system comprising a non-transitory memory having stored thereon a code for execution by at least one hardware processor, the code comprising:
- code to add points to the inner region of the cloud to emulate additional visits of the intrabody probe in said inner region;
- and
- code to reconstruct the image of the body cavity shape from the point cloud after the adding.
31-67. (canceled)
A computer implemented method of reconstructing an image of a body cavity shape of a subject, the method comprising:
- receiving data collected using at least one sensor disposed on an intrabody probe within the body cavity, the data comprising location indications indicative of a respective plurality of locations of the at least one sensor in the body cavity;
- evaluating the location indications according to their positions in regions where spatial gaps among sampled location indications are relatively more or relatively less indicative of the presence of a wall;
- and
- reconstructing the body cavity from the data and according to the evaluating, using at least two reconstruction methods, one of which more strongly suppresses identification of walls near spatial gaps among sampled location indications than the other.
