An expiration date acquisition unit is configured to acquire an expiration date that is related to consumption of the product and is specified based on image data obtained by capturing an image of the product. A reward processing unit is configured to perform processing for providing a reward to the user if the time of purchase acquired by the time-of-purchase acquisition unit and the expiration date acquired by the expiration date acquisition unit are in a predetermined relationship. As a result, products that are discarded due to being expired, or so-called food loss and waste, can be reduced.
