Abstract
A reactive treatment formulation and method for treatment of waste material resulting in a more stable, entombed treated waste product. The formulation comprised of a foamable surfactant that is granular and sodium percarbonate. A multi-part formulation can be delivered in a multi-compartment vessel that cooperates with a dispensing mechanism for a self-contained non-contact agitating toilet. The reactive treatment formulation prevents odors, bacterial growth, and stabilizes waste to reduce spillage during disposal.
Claims64
A waste treatment comprising:
- a. a vessel comprising:
- i. a first burstable zone;
- ii. a less-burstable zone that is less burstable than the first burstable zone;
- iii. a first compartment disposed between the less-burstable zone and the first burstable zone;
- iv. a second compartment disposed between the less-burstable zone and the first burstable zone;
- and
- b. a waste treatment formulation having a first component in the first compartment and a second component separated from the first component in the second compartment.
A waste treatment comprising:
- a. a vessel comprising:
- i. a first burstable zone;
- ii. a sealed zone;
- iii. a first compartment disposed between the first burstable zone and the sealed zone;
- iv. a flexible sleeve disposed within the first compartment, the flexible sleeve comprising:
- 1. a second burstable zone;
- 2. a second compartment within the flexible sleeve between the second burstable zone and the sealed zone;
- and
- b. a single-use waste treatment formulation contained within the vessel.
A method comprising the steps of:
- a. providing a first component in a first compartment of a vessel secured by a first seal;
- b. providing a second component in a second compartment of the vessel secured by a second seal;
- c. applying pressure to the vessel to break the first seal and the second seal whereby the first component and the second component are expelled into a non-contact toilet;
- and
- d. mixing the first component and the second component using rotary action within the non-contact toilet.
A method, comprising the steps of:
- a. providing a vessel having a first compartment having a dry component and a first burstable zone, and a second compartment having a fluid component and a second burstable zone;
- b. hanging the vessel on a toilet that is portable and non-contact;
- c. resting a portion of the vessel on a frame of the toilet;
- d. applying pressure to an engagement zone of the vessel;
- e. bursting the first burstable zone and the second burstable zone of the vessel;
- and
- f. expelling the dry component and the fluid component into the toilet.
A waste treatment formulation comprising:
- a. a first component comprising:
- i. a foamable surfactant that is granular;
- and
- ii. a sodium percarbonate.
A method for treating a waste material product, the method comprising:
- a. installing a receptacle into a toilet;
- b. activating an agitating device;
- c. dispensing a treatment formulation from a vessel into the receptacle;
- d. blending the treatment formulation with the agitating device;
- e. depositing the waste material product into the receptacle;
- and
- f. completing an agitation cycle.
A waste treatment package for use in a non-contact agitating toilet comprising:
- a. a waste treatment formulation disposed within the waste treatment package, where the waste treatment formulation is granular and is reactive with a waste material;
- and
- b. wherein the waste treatment package is dissolvable and reacts with the waste treatment formulation in the presence of a liquid solvent.
A method of treating waste material in a non-contact agitating toilet comprising the steps of:
- a. providing a waste treatment package containing a waste treatment formulation, where the waste treatment package is dissolvable;
- b. inserting the waste treatment package and waste treatment formulation into the non-contact agitating toilet;
- c. activating the non-contact agitating toilet;
- d. depositing a waste material into the non-contact agitating toilet;
- and
- e. reacting the waste treatment formulation with the waste material and the waste treatment package within the non-contact agitating toilet.
