Abstract
An example optical substrate, according to aspects of the present disclosure, includes a support structure, a plurality of optical components, and a plurality of flexures. Each flexure is engaged with the support structure and a respective optical component for allowing independent lateral movements of the optical components during assembly of the optical substrate with another layer of an optical assembly.
Claims20
An optical substrate, comprising:
- a support structure;
- a plurality of optical components;
- and
- a plurality of flexures, wherein each flexure is engaged with the support structure and a respective optical component for allowing independent lateral movements of the optical components during assembly of the optical substrate with another layer of an optical assembly.

An optical assembly, comprising:
- a first layer that includes:
- a first support structure;
- a first optical component;
- and
- at least one flange, wherein the at least one flange is engaged with the first support structure and the first optical component to maintain a stationary position of the first optical component with respect to the first support structure;
- and
- an optical substrate coupled to the first layer, wherein the optical substrate includes:
- a second support structure;
- a second optical component;
- and
- at least one flexure, wherein the at least one flexure is engaged with the second support structure and the second optical component for allowing lateral movements of the second optical component during assembly of the optical substrate with the first layer.
8 more elements
An optical substrate, comprising:
- a support structure;
- a plurality of optical components;
- and
- means for flexibly securing each optical component to the support structure, wherein the means are configured to allow independent lateral movements of the optical components during assembly of the optical substrate with another layer of an optical assembly.
