Time-dependent activation of configuration content

A method comprising:

• receiving a request for a table data item from a process of a software application;
• identifying a configuration object integrated into the software application and comprising information for modifying the table data item;
• reading version information of the configuration object from an activation data structure comprising different versions corresponding to different configuration content of the configuration object;
• activating a new version of the configuration object comprising updated configuration content of the table data item based on activation identifiers of the different versions stored in the activation data structure;
• and
• outputting the updated configuration content of the table data item corresponding to the new version of the configuration object.

A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing instructions which when executed by a processor cause a computer to perform a method comprising:

• receiving a request for a table data item from a process of a software application;
• identifying a configuration object integrated into the software application and comprising information for modifying the table data item;
• reading version information of the configuration object from an activation data structure comprising different versions corresponding to different configuration content of the configuration object;
• activating a new version of the configuration object comprising updated configuration content of the table data item based on activation identifiers of the different versions stored in the activation data structure;
• and
• outputting the updated configuration content of the table data item corresponding to the new version of the configuration object to the process.
