Abstract
A fastener system shifting shear stresses away from a collet body and provides clamping action to targeted structures. The fastener system includes feet in the collet body that mate with openings in a sleeve at least partially surrounding the collet body. The sleeve or the collet body includes interior threads that engage with a stud that is configured to extend through the collet body and bend the feet such that they project outward from the sleeve openings in an engaged configuration.
Claims15
A system for supporting an object at a vertical surface, comprising:
- a bracket having flat surface with a plurality of holes for interfacing with the vertical surface,
- a support mount for coupling to the object movably coupled to the bracket;
- and
- a removable fastener having a sleeve with a sleeve opening, a collet body separate from the sleeve with a flexible protrusion configured to be urged into and out of the sleeve opening via a stud, the stud slidingly engaging with one or more of the collet body and the sleeve.
