Abstract
A system and method for generating regular expressions to identify vendors to enable improved financial data transfer from a first computer system to a second computer system is provided.
Claims14
A method for transferring financial data from a first computer system to a second computer system, the method comprising the steps of:
- receiving, by the second computer system from the first computer system over a network, a set of historical financial data;
- creating one or more clusters of the historical financial data;
- generating, for each cluster, a regular expression;
- storing the generated regular expression in a vendor map data structure in the second computer system, the vendor map data structure associating the generated regular expression with a particular vendor;
- receiving, by the second computer system, a new transaction data associated with the financial data;
- and
- using the vendor map data structure to identify the vendor associated with the new transaction data.

- A computer having a processor, the processor executing a transaction management software, the transaction management software configured to:
- receive, over a network, a set of historical data, the historical data having a plurality of historical data entries;
- create one or more clusters of the set of historical data, each of the one or more clusters having one or more historical data entries associated therewith;
- convert each of the one or more clusters into one or more regular expressions;
- associate each of the regular expressions with a source identifier.
