Abstract
The invention relates to an extruder (30) comprising a housing (31), a first material inlet (32) for a mixture (46) at least consisting of a solvent and a dissolved medium, a material outlet (33), a screw (35), a screw drive (34), and at least one distillation region (36a-d) between the inlet (32) and the outlet (33), which allows an outflow of solvent, and a discharge line (43-45) for the solvent.
Claims19
An extruder (30), comprising a housing (31), a first material inlet (32) for a mixture (46) at least consisting of solvent and dissolved medium, a material outlet (33), a screw (35) rotatable in the housing, and a screw drive (34),
- characterised by
- at least one distillation region (36a-d) between the inlet (32) and the outlet (33), which allows an outflow of solvent, and
- a discharge line (43 45) for the solvent.
The extruder according to one of the preceding claims, comprising a second material inlet for the addition of an aggregate.
The extruder according to one of the preceding claims, comprising a kneading device (50) for kneading the material in the extruder.
The extruder according to one of the preceding claims, comprising two, three, four, five or more distillation regions (36a-d) arranged in succession along the screw (35).
The extruder according to one of the preceding claims, which is configured to allow evaporation of the solvent in the distillation region, and wherein the outlet has a vapour outlet.
The extruder according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that it is configured for operation at atmospheric pressure or at a pressure higher than atmospheric pressure.
The extruder according to one of the preceding claims, characterised by a control system designed to feed it a mixture of solvent, water and dissolved medium, having at the inlet a content of at least 10% or 20% and/or at most 35% or 25% of solvent and water (% by weight).
The extruder according to one of the preceding claims, characterised by a control system designed to control the operation so that the mixture of solvent, water and dissolved medium at the outlet of the extruder has a content of at most 2% or 1% and/or at least 0.1% or 0.3% of solvent and water (% by weight).
The extruder according one of the preceding claims, characterised by a heater (49) for heating the mixture (46) in the extruder, which heater may be provided in the region of a distillation region or upstream thereof and may act electrically and/or by heat exchange and/or by radiation.
The extruder according to one of the preceding claims, with an open-loop or closed-loop control system which is connected to a sensor system on the extruder and/or to an actuator system on the extruder, wherein the sensor system can comprise one or more temperature sensors and/or one or more residual moisture sensors and/or one or more fill level sensors and the actuator system can comprise the heater (49) and/or the kneading device (50) and/or the extruder drive (34) and/or a material feed not shown, wherein the control system can be configured to actuate elements of the actuator system in accordance with signals from the sensor system, in particular to adjust the heating and/or the drive speed in accordance with the residual moisture measured at the extruder output and/or to operate the material feed in accordance with a measured fill level.
An installation for separating a solvent from a solution, comprising at least one falling-film evaporator (13, 14) and/or a thin-film evaporator (15), and comprising an extruder (30) connected thereto according to one of the preceding claims.
A method for separating a solvent from a solution, in which the solution is fed into an extruder having at least one distillation region where solvent emerges from the surface of the solution and is discharged.
