Abstract
Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A method of wireless communication is described. A user equipment (UE) may receive an indication of one or more filter coefficients used by a base station to filter a reference signal used by the UE to determine channel quality information (CQI). The UE may receive a reference signal from the base station, and may determine the CQI based on the received reference signal and the one or more filter coefficients. The UE may transmit the determined CQI to the base station.
Claims30
A method for wireless communication at a user equipment (UE), comprising:
- determining one or more filter coefficients used by a base station to filter a reference signal, wherein the reference signal is used by the UE to determine channel quality information;
- receiving the reference signal from the base station;
- determining the channel quality information based at least in part on the received reference signal and the one or more filter coefficients;
- and
- transmitting the determined channel quality information to the base station.
A method for wireless communication at a base station, comprising:
- transmitting an indication of one or more filter coefficients used by the base station to filter a reference signal used by a user equipment (UE) to determine channel quality information;
- generating the reference signal based at least in part on the one or more filter coefficients;
- transmitting the reference signal to the UE;
- and
- receiving, from the UE, the channel quality information at least in part in response to the transmitted reference signal.
An apparatus for wireless communication at a user equipment (UE), comprising:
- a processor,
- memory coupled with the processor;
- and
- instructions stored in the memory and executable by the processor to cause the apparatus to:
- determine one or more filter coefficients used by a base station to filter a reference signal, wherein the reference signal is used by the UE to determine channel quality information;
- receive the reference signal from the base station;
- determine the channel quality information based at least in part on the received reference signal and the one or more filter coefficients;
- and
- transmit the determined channel quality information to the base station.
An apparatus for wireless communication at a base station, comprising:
- a processor,
- memory coupled with the processor;
- and
- instructions stored in the memory and executable by the processor to cause the apparatus to:
- transmit an indication of one or more filter coefficients used by the base station to filter a reference signal used by a user equipment (UE) to determine channel quality information;
- generate the reference signal based at least in part on the one or more filter coefficients;
- transmit the reference signal to the UE;
- and
- receive, from the UE, the channel quality information at least in part in response to the transmitted reference signal.
