Abstract
An information processing apparatus includes a main unit including a first installer; an operation unit including a second installer; processing circuitry; and a memory storing computer-executable instructions that cause the processing circuitry to cause the second installer of the operation unit to acquire an application type of an application to be updated and to update the application based on the acquired application type.

An information processing apparatus comprising:
- a main unit including a first installer;
- an operation unit including a second installer;
- processing circuitry;
- and
- a memory storing computer-executable instructions that cause the processing circuitry to:
- cause the second installer of the operation unit to acquire an application type of an application to be updated and to update the application based on the acquired application type.
A method executed by an information processing apparatus including a main unit and an operation unit, the method comprising:
- acquiring an application type of an application to be updated;
- and
- updating the application based on the acquired application type.
A non-transitory computer-readable recording medium storing a program that causes a computer to execute a process performed by an installer included in an operation unit of an information processing apparatus including a main unit and the operation unit, the process comprising:
- acquiring an application type of an application to be updated;
- and
- updating the application based on the acquired application type.
