Abstract
The present invention relates to oxidation stable alpha-amylase variants. The present invention also relates to polynucleotides encoding the variants; nucleic acid constructs, vectors, and host cells comprising the polynucleotides; and methods of using the variants.
Claims22
An alpha-amylase variant of a parent alpha-amylase, wherein said variant comprises a substitution in one or more positions providing oxidation stability of said variant, wherein said variant has an improvement factor of ≥1.0 as a measure for wash performance, when compared to said parent alpha-amylase, and wherein said variant has alpha-amylase activity.
A method of obtaining an alpha-amylase variant comprising introducing into a parent alpha-amylase a substitution in position 202 wherein said position corresponding to the position of the amino acid sequence as set forth in SEQ ID NO:
- 3;
- b) optionally, introducing a deletion in two or more positions corresponding to positions R181, G182, D183 and G184 of the amino acid sequence as set forth in SEQ ID NO:3 and c) recovering said variant.
