Abstract
A video coder is configured to code an adaptive loop filter (ALF) clipping index as a fixed-length unsigned integer. The video coder may apply, based on the ALF clipping index, an ALF to a block of a picture of the video data.
Claims37
A method of coding video data, the method comprising:
- coding an adaptive loop filter (ALF) clipping index as a fixed-length unsigned integer;
- and
- applying, based on the ALF clipping index, an ALF to a block of a picture of the video data.
A device for coding video data, the device comprising:
- a memory configured to store the video data;
- and
- one or more processors implemented in circuitry, the one or more processors configured to:
- code an adaptive loop filter (ALF) clipping index as a fixed-length unsigned integer;
- and
- apply, based on the ALF clipping index, an ALF to a block of a picture of the video data.

A device for coding video data, the device comprising:
- means for coding an adaptive loop filter (ALF) clipping index as a fixed-length unsigned integer;
- and
- means for applying, based on the ALF clipping index, an ALF to a block of a picture of the video data.
A computer-readable storage medium having stored thereon instructions that, when executed, cause one or more processors to
- code an adaptive loop filter (ALF) clipping index as a fixed-length unsigned integer;
- and
- apply, based on the ALF clipping index, an ALF to a block of a picture of video data.
