Abstract
The technology described in this application relates to an application switching method and a terminal. The method includes a terminal running a first application in the foreground, locking a screen of the terminal in response to a lock screen instruction, and when the terminal meets a preset condition of running a second application, unlocking the screen of the terminal in response to an unlock instruction, and running the second application in the foreground.

An application switching method implemented via a terminal, the application switching method comprising:
- running, by the terminal, a first application in the foreground;
- locking a screen of the terminal in response to a lock screen instruction;
- and
- when the terminal meets a preset condition of running a second application and a priority of the second application is higher than a priority of the first application, unlocking the screen of the terminal in response to an unlock instruction, and running the second application in the foreground, wherein the first application is different from the second application.

- a processor;

- a memory configured to store computer readable instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the terminal to provide execution comprising:
- running a first application in the foreground;
- locking a screen of the terminal in response to a lock screen instruction;

- when the terminal meets a preset condition of running a second application and a priority of the second application is higher than a priority of the first application, unlocking the screen of the terminal in response to an unlock instruction, and running the second application in the foreground, wherein the first application is different from the second application.
