System and method for determining vehicle fueling behavior

A system for determining vehicle fueling behavior, comprising:

• a memory storing instructions when executed by a processor cause the processor to:
• receive sensor data associated with an occurrence of a fueling event associated with fueling of a vehicle;
• determine a current geo-location of the vehicle based on determining that the fueling event is occurring;
• determine a fueling station that is being utilized during the fueling event that is located at the current geo-location of the vehicle, wherein an adjusted geo-location of the vehicle is determined that matches a geo-location of the fueling station that is located within a predetermined distance of the current geo-location of the vehicle when it is determined that a geo-location of the fueling station that is being utilized during the fueling event does not match with the determined current geo-location of the vehicle, wherein data that includes the adjusted geo-location of the vehicle is electronically stored and is associated with the fueling station and the fueling event;
• and
• compute at least one fueling behavior pattern based on analyzing the data associated with the fueling station and the fueling event, wherein a display unit of the vehicle is operably controlled to present at least one interface that pertains to information that is based on the at least one fueling behavior pattern.

A non-transitory computer readable storage medium storing instructions that when executed by a computer, which includes a processor perform a method, the method comprising:

• receiving sensor data associated with an occurrence of a fueling event associated with fueling of a vehicle;
• determining a current geo-location of the vehicle based on determining that the fueling event is occurring;
• determining a fueling station that is being utilized during the fueling event that is located at the current geo-location of the vehicle, wherein an adjusted geo-location of the vehicle is determined that matches a geo-location of the fueling station that is located within a predetermined distance of the current geo-location of the vehicle when it is determined that a geo-location of the fueling station that is being utilized during the fueling event does not match with the determined current geo-location of the vehicle, wherein data that includes the adjusted geo-location of the vehicle is electronically stored and is associated with the fueling station and the fueling event;
• and
• computing at least one fueling behavior pattern based on analyzing the data associated with the fueling station and the fueling event, wherein a display unit of the vehicle is operably controlled to present at least one interface that pertains to information that is based on the at least one fueling behavior pattern.
