Abstract

Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to a system, methods, and computer-readable media for automatically initiating post-delivery action based on pre-tender diagnostic test results and post-delivery diagnostic test results stored in a distributed electronic ledger for a particular item. In embodiments, the post-delivery action can include, among other things, automatically initiating a return action such as generating shipment information for a return of the item, initiating an insurance action for the item, and/or communicating an electronic notification to the item seller and/or item purchaser. The post-delivery action can be stored in the distributed electronic ledger, and the post-delivery action can electronically trigger a cascade of returns, billing, communications, and/or insurance actions, among other things.

Dependent claims

One or more non-transitory computer-readable media having computer instructions stored thereon for execution by one or more processors, wherein execution of the computer instructions via the one or more processors results in a method, the method comprising:

receiving shipment creation information for an item from an entity server, wherein the shipment creation information includes an item identifier for the item and pre-tender diagnostic information for the item;
generating a transaction including the shipment creation information based on the receipt thereof;
communicating the generated transaction to a network, wherein a plurality of nodes of the network is configured to store the communicated transaction to a distributed ledger;
monitoring the distributed ledger, via the network, to detect when a subsequent transaction corresponding to the item identifier is stored in the distributed ledger, wherein the subsequent transaction includes post-delivery diagnostic information for the item;
receiving a notification from the entity server, the notification indicating a determination that the post-delivery diagnostic information for the item is different than the pre-tender diagnostic information for the item;
and
generating an electronic remediation action based on the determination that the post-delivery diagnostic information included in the detected subsequent transaction is different than the pre-tender diagnostic information included in the stored transaction.

A system comprising:

a communication component for:
receiving shipment creation information for an item from an entity server, wherein the shipment creation information includes an item identifier for the item and pre-tender diagnostic information for the item;
communicating a generated transaction to a distributed network, wherein a plurality of nodes of the distributed network is configured to store the communicated transaction to a distributed ledger;
and
receiving a notification from the entity server, the notification indicating a determination that the post-delivery diagnostic information for the item is different than the pre-tender diagnostic information for the item;
an transaction component for generating the transaction including the shipment creation information based on the receipt thereof;
a surveillance component for monitoring the distributed ledger, via the distributed network, to detect when a subsequent transaction corresponding to the item identifier is stored in the distributed ledger, wherein the subsequent transaction includes post-delivery diagnostic information for the item;
and
a remediation component for automatically generating an electronic remediation action based on the determination that the post-delivery diagnostic information included in the detected subsequent transaction is different than the pre-tender diagnostic information included in the stored transaction.
