Abstract
The attachment includes: a holder that has an opening portion provided at a position corresponding to an ultrasonic wave transmitting and receiving surface of the ultrasound probe and is attachably and detachably fixed to the ultrasound probe; and a protruding portion that draws and holds a sheet-shaped acoustic matching member provided between the opening portion and the ultrasound probe in a close contact direction in which the acoustic matching member is brought into close contact with the transmitting and receiving surface.

An attachment for an ultrasound probe comprising:
- a holder that has an opening portion provided at a position corresponding to an ultrasonic wave transmitting and receiving surface of the ultrasound probe and is attachably and detachably fixed to the ultrasound probe;
- and
- a protruding portion that draws and holds a sheet-shaped acoustic matching member provided between the opening portion and the ultrasound probe in a close contact direction in which the acoustic matching member is brought into close contact with the transmitting and receiving surface.
